AWS Builder ID vs. AWS account
What is an AWS Builder ID?
An AWS Builder ID is a personal identity that you use to collaborate with your peers, AWS experts, and partners on your migration and modernization journey. It allows you to create migration and modernization journeys, receive guidance on migration and modernization process and tools, invite collaborators with fine-grained access control, and monitor everyone’s progress. You can create a Builder ID at no charge.
What is an AWS account?
With an AWS account, you can discover and import on-premises servers, get strategy recommendations, perform automated migrations, incrementally refactor your applications in microservices, and perform other actions that require access to AWS resources.
